Exeter City v Plymouth Argyle LIVE: League One stats & head-to-head

Exeter v Plymouth (20:00 BST)
Plymouth’s return to League One has been far more miserable than they would have wanted.
Rather than bidding to bounce right back into the Championship, they’re spending the early part of their season in the bottom four.
But it’ll be extra hurtful should they falter to their Devon rivals Exeter City – a feeling Pilgrims captain Joe Edwards knows all too well.
Edwards’ first taste of this ferocious fixture was in 2019, when Argyle were demolished 4-0 by the Grecians and while he’s been part of two derby wins since, he finds the defeat hard to forget.
“It was horrible, I hated it,” Edwards told BBC Radio Devon.
“Probably one of the worst moments in my time here, probably in that top three of bad games and it sticks with you. Having the experience of that helps.
“It’s a game we both need to win, we both need a result. Derby games are full of energy, enthusiasm. Can be cagey at times but we will be going into it with a really focused mentality and knowing what it means.”
