Final Vikings vs. Chargers Injury Report for Week 8 of 2025

EAGAN, Minn. — The quick turnaround is in progress as the Vikings (3-3) prepare to visit the Chargers (4-3) to open Week 8 on Thursday Night Football.

Monday marked the first of three consecutive days of publishing a practice report. Neither team practiced on the day after their Week 7 games, so participation levels are estimates.

Injury reports will be published Tuesday and Wednesday this week with game designations being declared Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Head Coach Kevin O’Connell announced the team opened the 21-day evaluation window for running back Aaron Jones, Sr., who was estimated as a limited participant.

Jones was listed as questionable on Wednesday, but another roster move will be required before he can be activated.

Left tackle Christian Darrisaw was added to the report on Wednesday as not participating and is listed as questionable.

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy, tackle Brian O’Neill and running back Zavier Scott also were listed as questionable.

Minnesota on Wednesday ruled out fullback C.J. Ham, who suffered a hand injury Sunday, and outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel (neck). Van Ginkel has been sidelined since Week 3.
