Fans of BBC One’s Celebrity Traitors were left feeling emotional after another celebrity was banished at the roundtable

Another contestant was banished on Celebrity Traitors during Thursday’s (23 October) episode, and he left viewers at home “in tears” with his exit speech.
With the Faithfuls continuing to struggle to figure out who the Traitors are amongst them, the latest roundtable saw attention turn to Stephen Fry, who was sadly banished despite being a Faithful. His departure was the second in the episode, following actor Mark Bonnar’s banishment.
Upon exiting, Stephen told his co-stars he’d had so much “fun” on the BBC One show and branded the cast “extraordinary”, before sadly bidding farewell to the castle.
BBC viewers were left feeling emotional at the scene, with one writing on X: “Wait bc why did i start getting emotional at Stephen’s goodbye speech #CelebrityTraitors.”

“I’m amazed he lasted this long – I thought they’d all gun for him early doors – but Sir Stephen Fry breaks a nation’s hearts as he exits. #TheCelebrityTraitors #TheTraitors #CelebrityTraitors,” another penned.
A third agreed: “Aww Stephen’s speech got me #CelebrityTraitors,” and someone else said: “Shed some serious tears at the loss of Sir Stephen Fry tonight. Absolutely dreadful group of faithfuls. #CelebrityTraitors.”
A fifth Traitors fan added: “I cannot believe that Stephen has gone and Kate is still in there #CelebrityTraitors.”
Stephen’s full speech saw him pay tribute to all of his Traitors co-stars. The TV star said: “Oh, I’ve had the best fun for years. Honestly, what an extraordinary bunch of people all of you, and the banished and the ones who aren’t here for me to thank.
“It’s been such an extraordinary and wonderful few days. To be part of such a group is a privilege and an honour, a deep delight and pleasure. So, thank you all and no hard feelings, promise. I am of course, as I told you all along, a Faithful.”

Following Stephen’s banishment, Claudia informed the group they needed to “focus” and put all of their efforts into finding a Traitor, having failed to do so again.
Later in the evening, Jonathan, Nick, Kate and Lucy each received a letter, informing them they were at risk of being murdered following a task earlier in the day.
However, it was revealed that they would be murdered by the Traitors in-person, with the victim set to be unveiled in the next episode on Wednesday, 29 October.
