Prince Albert couple secures tickets for World Series

“The sites were glitching. It was just kind of like, you thought you got a decent price and then they were gone…and you try and buy another one and then they’re gone. But we ended up lucking out.”
In the end, Zawacki paid about $2,000 for both tickets in a standing section.
And while the Dodgers are favoured to win the series, Zawacki remains optimistic about her team’s chances.
“I think it’s going to go seven games.”
The Blue Jays success has been great for restaurants and bars that can show the games. Keegan Sanderson at the Canadian Brewhouse in Prince Albert said the atmosphere has been awesome.
“The last game I was here just to watch it and we had a full crowd, horns going, everybody’s cheering. It was the greatest time ever,” he said.
While confirming they’ve had a few requests for reservations, Sanderson said they are going to stick with walk-ins.
Across the city, Raini Nelson at Boston Pizza in Prince Albert also confirmed a great turnout.
“Whenever the Blue Jays played, we had a nice rush and for the last series we’re expecting a major rush,” he said.
Nelson also confirmed the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant is a lot more fun when the Jays are winning, adding it’s great to see all the happy faces.
