Last Push – Arsenal’s Forgotten Star Teases Long-Awaited Return

Arsenal fans may finally have reason to smile on the injury front — because Gabriel Jesus has just hinted that he’s almost ready to return.

The Brazilian forward, who’s been sidelined for months after a knee injury suffered against Manchester United, posted an exciting update on social media that has Gooners buzzing.

Jesus Posts “Last Push” Message in Training Video

Jesus took to Instagram to share a video of himself doing shooting drills at London Colney, captioned simply: “Last Push.”

The clip shows the Arsenal No.9 moving freely and striking the ball with confidence — a huge sign that his long-awaited comeback is close.
The post comes after months of rehab following surgery earlier this year, which ruled him out for most of 2025 so far.

Eddie Nketiah previously described Jesus as “unbelievable”, praising his movement and intensity in training.

It’s the clearest indication yet that Jesus could return earlier than expected, with Mikel Arteta having originally hinted at a December or January comeback.

Arteta on Jesus’ recovery: “He’s working really hard. Hopefully, he can come back sooner than we think.”

The Timing Could Be Complicated

While Jesus’ return would normally be a huge boost, his comeback now poses an interesting dilemma for Arteta.

Viktor Gyökeres has found form again, scoring twice in the 4–0 win over Atletico Madrid in midweek, while Kai Havertz is also close to regaining full fitness.

That means Jesus will be re-entering a front line that’s functioning at full throttle, and his opportunities could be limited in the short term.

If he does struggle for minutes, Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta could face a tough call in the January transfer window, with West Ham and Everton reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Jesus Still Has a Point to Prove

The 28-year-old hasn’t featured since January and has fallen out of the spotlight to the point that Thierry Henry admitted he’d “forgotten Jesus was even at Arsenal.”
That will only add to the Brazilian’s motivation to make an impact when he returns.

With Arsenal fighting on multiple fronts — the Premier League title race and another Champions League knockout push — Jesus could still become a vital rotation weapon if he can rediscover his sharpness.
