Keanu Reeves ambushed by crazed fan

Keanu Reeves has been caught up in a scary incident involving a crazed fan following a performance of Waiting for Godot in New York this week.

The Matrix star, 61, was exiting the Hudson Theatre when he was ambushed by a fan who rushed towards his black SUV shouting his name, catching onlookers and security completely off guard.

The footage, shared on TikTok, shows Reeves casually greeting fans following his Broadway show and heading towards his private vehicle outside the theatre when the woman emerges.

The fan can be heard screaming “It’s your divine wife!” before handlers stepped in to restrain her. But it wasn’t long before she broke off again, this time forcing her way right up to the vehicle and attempting to open the door.

“Don’t let them hurt me,” she yelled before being forced away once again and then thrown to the ground, still screaming: “Keanu! Keanu!”

A more restrained fan filming the footage can be heard making comments as the incident unfolded, including claims that he would need a “restraining order”.

While it’s unclear why the fan was so forceful, she appeared to be unhappy with how she was treated, later seen flipping off fellow fans for watching on as she was pushed away by the actor’s security team.

Recently, Reeves threw cold water on rumours that he had finally tied the knot with long-time girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.

“We’ve been going out for a long time,” he simply said when asked by E!News at the New York City premiere of his latest film, Good Fortune, if he did indeed make it to the altar earlier in the year.

Alexandra, 52, also dispelled the rumours in September while sharing a loved-up snap of her and her partner on a set of stairs at the Roden Crater in Flagstaff, Arizona.

“This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement … simply a kiss!” she shared on social media.

“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding … except we didn’t get married.

“Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there. So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”

Reeves later praised his longtime lover, claiming she did a “wonderful job” at addressing the rumours.

The couple first met in 2009 before collaborating on the book Ode to Happiness in 2011.

They finally debuted their romance in 2019 on the red carpet for the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.

While they appear to be ridiculously in love, have tried to keep their much-talked about relationship out of the spotlight as much as they can.
