Following a flurry of steamy TikToks and romantic outings, Regretting You’s McKenna Grace and Mason Thames have set tongues wagging with their new rumored relationship

McKenna Grace and Mason Thames are the stars of Colleen Hoover’s latest book-to-film adaptation, Regretting You.
Regretting You, which was released in theaters on October 24, follows Morgan Grant (Alison Williams) and her daughter Clara (McKenna Grace) as they navigate grief and uncover heartbreaking family secrets. Also featuring Scott Eastwood, Dave Franco, Mason Thames and Willa Fitzgerald, Regretting You is a story of love and loss, with the occasional moment of teen angst and light humor added in.
In the movie, Clara’s love interest is Miller, who is played by Mason. However, it seems that their romance might not just be on screen, as rumors have been swirling about a potential romantic relationship.

Are McKenna Grace and Mason Thames actually dating?
Rumors first started when McKenna, 19, and Mason, 18, posted a TikTok in April 2025 in which they kissed. They were lip-syncing to some audio from 500 Days of Summer, with the pair falling out of the frame whilst kissing.
In the video, which has been liked 3.1 million times, fans went wild in the comments, with one writing, “I KNEW IT BUT ALSO NO F—— WAY.”

Another TikTok user also penned, “THE SHOCK ON MY FACE SHOULD BE STUDIED,” in a comment that received over 140,000 likes. In April, the pair were also spotted at a Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks NBA game at State Farm Arena, alongside fellow Regretting You cast member, Dave Franco. Unsurprisingly, in recent months, the duo have also been spotted out and about promoting their new movie, at premieres and at interviews.
Have they addressed the viral kissing video?
In June, during an interview with Seventeen, Mason addressed their viral kissing video, which now has over 32 million views, saying, “I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was really funny. I had a lot of friends text me. It was hilarious.”
Adding, “[McKenna] was like, ‘This is a TikTok—do you wanna do it?’ And I was like ‘Yeah, let’s!’ And we posted it, and then… Jesus.” However, whilst he didn’t confirm the rumors, Mason has found the public’s interest in his love life unusual.

“Yeah, it is strange. But I’ve always sort of been off the internet. I’ve always kind of kept everything to myself and been very personal,” he said. “Having people speculate so much, especially having mutual friends texting me and asking…it’s wild. I’m still not used to it.”
Mason also spoke about the time away from set that they’ve spent together, such as when they went to an aquarium. “She has an aquarium playlist in her AirPods. So she had one in her ear, and I had one in mine while we looked at sharks,” Mason recalled.
Are there any other hints that McKenna and Mason are in a relationship?
In June, McKenna and Mason were spotted hand in hand whilst walking through New York City’s Soho and since then have posted numerous other telling videos to social media.
Sharing a video on TikTok with Sabrina Carpenter’s Slim Pickins playing, Mason lifts McKenna onto his shoulder as they both laugh. In the comments, Mason wrote, “Ur cute,” with McKenna responding, “As if we’re not on the phone as I posted this,” with some emojis.
McKenna and Mason were spotted walking hand in hand on June 14
On October 13, McKenna shared another video of her and Mason, walking with his arm around her, before he picked her up and carried her down the hall. Days later, she shared a third video of them dancing in their pyjamas before the clip transitioned to them at the Regretting You premiere. However, they have yet to publicly confirm their relationship.
