‘We’ve finally won!’
The declaration from Emmerdale fans far and wide rang through X so loudly that Robron was soon number one trend in the UK.
And rightly so – it was a big and unexpected day for Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
While Robert was in two minds over whether to go through with his vow renewal to husband Kev (Chris Coghill), Aaron realised the truth of his soulmate once more – he is the only one for him.
Robert didn’t take much persuasion to agree and as the electricity zapped between them, they shared some passionate afternoon delight.
Now, the next stage could easily have been Aaron forcing Robert to choose but he was prepared to keep his reunion with Robert under wraps given how unwell Kev is.
Well, how unwell he PROFESSES to be – we’ll get to that in a moment!

Robert still feels a lot for Kev, but it’s not love. However, after what they went through together in prison, Robert didn’t want to break the heart of a (supposedly) dying man.
Aaron was understanding – but at any rate, Robron are well and truly back on, with as much chemistry as ever.
And when I say fans were delighted, there are no words that could possibly do the excitement justice.
X user Koko summed up the mood with: ‘SCREAMING. CRYING. THROWING UP.’
Meanwhile, Claudia Boleyn declared that the episode ‘healed her soul’, adding: ‘Gorgeous. Wonderful. No notes!’

I could go on and on with reactions but I fear I’d shut down the internet.
But what next for the golden couple? Well, Robert shared his vows with Kev, telling him that he wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for him.

We then discovered that Kev has been lying about being seriously ill and on the brink of death.
Not fair.
Liam figured out that Kev already knew he wasn’t dying and was warned not to tell Robert – or anyone – or else.
How long before Robert discovers the truth? And how much danger might he and Aaron be in if Kev discovers their dalliances?
I expect X to explode again in the near future with the big drama coming up for the trio…
