Last week marked the completion of a significant restoration of one of Manchester’s most recognisable landmarks. Built in 1932, Sunlight House remains an important part of the city’s skyline.
The Grade II-listed Art Deco building on Little Quay Street has undergone a £35m facelift by property developers Karrev. To mark the occasion and its new chapter, another new tenant has been announced.
Popular juice brand Joe & The Juice is taking on the large 2,300 sq ft ground-floor unit. The internationally acclaimed Danish brand, famous for its fresh juices, shakes and signature sandwiches, will open its flagship Manchester store in spring 2026.
Julien Buronfosse, Managing Director at Karrev, said: “The signing of a top tier global brand such as Joe & The Juice reflects our vision to curate a world-class experience for everyone who walks through these doors.

Founded in Copenhagen and now operating more than 300 stores worldwide, Joe & The Juice has become a extremely popular brand in recent years. As well as joining the aforementioned retailers, it will also join the recently announced PINs Social Club.
Sam Moloney, Retail Director for Joe & The Juice UK, added: “We’re thrilled to be opening our next Manchester store in the beautifully restored Sunlight House, a beautiful building in the heart of Spinningfields. It’s a fantastic location for us to connect with the city’s thriving business community.”
Joe & The Juice marked its return to the city centre earlier this year, opening a flagship unit on Cross Street as part of Manchester Arndale shopping complex.

It took over a prime 2,685 sq ft unit after the closure of its previous home in Debenhams on Market Street. It also recently opened a second location in the region at Terminal 2 in Manchester Airport while another has been announced to open at the Trafford Centre before Christmas.
Its Manchester menus so far include ‘Functional Shakes’ and ‘Signature Juices’, along with tea, coffee, matcha and health shots.
Food wise, there’s snacks and treats including cakes, muffins, banana bread, and brownies, served alongside breakfast bowls, and a range of sandwiches.
Joe & The Juice is set to open in spring 2026. Sunlight House is now open and welcoming viewings for the building’s remaining Grade A office space.
