Urgent recall for Henry Hoovers – shoppers warned ‘stop using them immediately’

HENRY hoovers have been pulled from UK shelves over fears of ‘electric shock’.

Argos is urgently recalling one of its corded vacuums over fears it could cause electric shock.
The Henry Quick Corded vacuum sold by the major retailer was discovered to pose a risk of electric shock.
Anyone who purchased the HEC.100 Henry Hoover between August 1 and October 17, 2025 is being warned to “stop using it immediately” and “unplug it from mains power”.
A warning was published on Tuesday, October 21 for vacuums with a serial number beginning with 7524… followed by …0001, 03998.

Those with a serial number beginning with 7527… and followed by …03751, 03793, 03795, 03799, 03801, 03804, 03805, 03809, 03812, 03819, 03826, 03829, 03832, 03834, 03839, 03843, 03851, 05905, 05951 should also be aware.
Henry Quick Corded vacuums purchased after October 17 are said to not be included by the notice.
Shoppers who bought the affected vacuums are able to get a full refund on the item, return it freely or get an exchange.
Visit the MyHenry website and complete the online form, or go to a local Argos store to do so.
An Argos spokesperson said: “Argos has been informed by Numatic International of a product recall on the Henry quick corded vacuum due to a safety concern affecting a small number of products.
“Affected vacuums may expose the user to risk of electric shock.”
They continued: “Numatic International treats customer safety as their highest priority and would like to offer customers the chance to exchange all HEC.100 Henry Quick Corded vacuums that may be affected.
“Alternately, if you are not able to follow the above, please return it to your local Argos store for a full refund.”
A Henry spokesperson added: “We are initiating a recall of Henry Quick Corded vacuums due to a safety concern affecting a small number of units.
“Customer safety is always our highest priority; we have therefore decided to exchange all HEC.100 Henry Quick Corded vacuums that may be affected.”
They assured that all HEC.100 Henry Quick Corded vacuums purchased after 17th October 2025 are not impacted.
It comes after another faulty gadget was urgently recalled from UK supermarket store shelves over safety concerns it could spark a fire.
The Goblin cordless vacuum cleaner was urgently recalled earlier this year, which was produced for Asda stores.
A statement on the UK Government’s website stated: “It has been identified that in some units of the Goblin handheld vacuum, the battery may overheat.
“This could pose a fire safety risk if left on charge and unattended.”

Argos issued this safety warning for a number of its tumble dryers, urging shoppers to stop using the appliance immediately and unplug it from mains.
