Bo Bichette made a three-word declaration after the Toronto Blue Jays advanced to the World Series earlier this week:
“I’ll be ready.”
Turns out, he was right.
Though sidelined since early September, Bichette is one of 26 players on the Blue Jays’ World Series roster that was announced today.
Ty France was also added to the roster, while reliever Yariel Rodriguez and Joey Loperfido were removed from the crew that suited up for the American League Championship Series.

Where will Bichette play for the Blue Jays?
The Blue Jays could use Bichette pretty much anywhere on the field, but it looks like he might either play second base or be the designated hitter.
He has yet to play second base at the major league level, though manager John Schneider doesn’t seem concerned with that lack of experience, given how often he’s played the other side of the infield.
“I’ve always said, if you can play shortstop, you can kind of play anywhere. First base is maybe a little bit different. But he looked good then,” Schneider told reporters Thursday. “I think that where we are now, there’s going to be emotions and thoughts and feelings that these guys are going to feel that they haven’t felt, regardless of if they just played in Game 7 or if they haven’t played in a while.”
