Rockets, Toyota Center unveil fan experience upgrades for 2025-26 season

As the 2025-26 season tips off, the Rockets announced plans for new fan enhancements and experiences inside Houston’s home arena of Toyota Center.

With the start of the 2025-26 regular season rapidly approaching, the Houston Rockets announced plans for new fan enhancements and experiences inside their home arena of Toyota Center.

Coming off the excitement of a 2024-25 playoff run and the offseason trade addition of 15-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, the Rockets say they have seen record growth with their season membership plans.

Ticket plan enrollment is up more than 25% from last season, and it is now at its highest level since the 2019-20 season, which came prior to COVID-19 pandemic disruptions. All floor-level seating is sold out, according to the team.

That 2019-20 roster featured James Harden and Russell Westbrook — who, like Durant, were both former NBA Most Valuable Player winners.

Today, Houston ranks top three in the NBA in membership growth, making the Rockets one of the fastest-growing fan bases in the league.  Corporate partnerships have also surged, according to the team, delivering double-digit sponsorship growth heading into the new season.

During the season and into the 2026 summer, Toyota Center’s original seating will be replaced to provide fans with greater comfort and to present a fresh, modern look. Each seat will feature a personal cup holder, as well. Funded by Rockets owner Tilman J. Fertitta, the installation will not disrupt games or events and is expected to be completed before the start of the 2026-27 season.

Last year, Toyota Center debuted a cutting-edge, 6,200 square-foot scoreboard, which marked the culmination of a venue-wide lighting and video upgrade project. The new board has quickly become a centerpiece of the fan experience, as it anchors the team’s in-game and postgame entertainment.

Giveaways will be a big part of the 2025-26 regular season, starting with the Oct. 24 home opener versus Detroit. In that game, every fan will receive a Rockets hat, courtesy of Toyota.

The next giveaway, also sponsored by Toyota, is set for Nov. 3 vs. Dallas — when the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive an Amen Thompson “bobble-card” to celebrate his NBA All-Defensive First Team selection. On Nov. 16 vs. Orlando, Memorial Hermann is presenting “Kevin Durant Bobblehead Night.”

The Rockets will feature special ticket promotions throughout the season, including Margarita Mondays, presented by Casamigos. The home schedule is filled with cultural celebrations and entertainment themed nights. Early highlights include “Stranger Things Night” vs. Brooklyn on Oct. 27 and the season debut of the City Edition court and uniforms on Nov. 12 vs. Washington, which coincides with “Military Appreciation Night,” presented by Michelob ULTRA.

Fans can explore premium seating and VIP amenities, including concierge service for various Fertitta Entertainment experiences, by visiting a specially curated site. Single game tickets, along with full and partial memberships, group packages, and suite opportunities, are available at Rockets.com or by calling (713) 758-7300.

Throughout the season, the Rockets will feature three in-game promotions:

  • Whataburger: If an opposing player misses consecutive free throws during the fourth quarter at Toyota Center, fans in attendance will be able to redeem a free Whataburger through the company’s app.
  • Chick-fil-A: Anytime the Rockets hit at least three 3-pointers during the third quarter of a home game, fans in attendance will be able to redeem a three-piece Chick-n-Strip from Chick-fil-A’s app.
  • Pizza Hut: When the Rockets score 100 points at home, participating area Pizza Hut locations will offer a free order of breadsticks.

Fans can enjoy an eclectic mix of food and beverage options. New, fan-friendly pricing options include favorites like hot dogs, soda, and popcorn for just $3.99, along with cookies for $2.99. These specials will be available from the time doors open until the end of the third quarter on the main concourse by sections 113 and 125; on the upper concourse by sections 408 and 427; and at Bill’s Bar & Burgers locations in the Frost East and West Clubs.

A kids meal is priced at $5.95, while several food items will debut this season. Those include a hearty patty melt, a souvenir Red Rising signature cocktail, and upscale barbeque sandwiches and baked potatoes.

The Rockets Team Shop at Toyota Center and RocketsShop.com will continue to offer distinctive apparel options, with merchandise demand up more than 300 percent relative to last season. Upcoming unveils include new City Edition releases on Nov. 11 and additions to the Summit Collection on Dec. 3. Previews and on-sale times will be posted on the team’s social media outlets.

This season will also mark the debut of what the team is calling its “Hype Squad,” an energetic group dedicated to engaging upper-concourse fans. Fans seated in Toyota Center’s upper level will also be able to visit a new Hardwood Classic retail stand at Section 416.
