Jrue Holiday fills stat sheet in starting role

by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Thu, Oct 23rd 10:12am EDT
Jrue Holiday recorded 14 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals over 33 minutes in Portland’s 118-114 loss to Minnesota on Wednesday. He struggled with his shot, going 5-of-15 from the field and 1-of-7 from three-point range.
Fantasy Impact:
Holiday is secure as Portland’s starting point guard in the short term. However, his usage and role could change significantly when Scoot Henderson (hamstring) returns, which is expected sometime in mid-November. There will likely be a competition for the starting job upon Henderson’s return, recalling how Holiday previously ceded ground due to inconsistency. For the next few weeks, though, Holiday should operate as the primary floor general.
