Only One Change to the Impressive Side that Nearly Took Down the Kiwis

Fetu Samoa Head Coach Jamie Soward has made just one change to his impressive side that nearly took down the Kiwi’s. This week Fetu face their greatest challenge yet in the number 1 ranked women’s team in the world, Australia’s Jillaroos.
The Jillaroos last played in March of this year where they thumped the England Lionesses 90-4 in Las Vegas.
Fetu is no doubt a much greater challenge for the Jillaroos. Filled with NRLW stars, Samoa will look to upset the Jillaroos this coming Sunday.
The only change Soward has made is the exclusion of halfback Pauline Piliae-Rasabale through injury.
In reshuffling his backline, Coach Soward has moved Jetaya Faifua from fullback to halfback and Destiny Mino-Sinapati from right wing to fullback.
Filling that gap on the wing and new name in the side is Mercedez Taulelei-Siala.
The 19 year old debuted for Samoa in last years Pacific Championship and currently plays her footy for the Newcastle Knights in the NRLW.
Vice-Captain Sienna Lofipo is named to start at lock despite coming off last week with an injury of her own.
Fetu Samoa Captain Annetta-Claudia Nu’uausala and her prop partner Eliza Lopamaua dominated New Zealand down the middle on Sunday, and will look to continue that dominance this weekend in Brisbane.
Frankies has all your Quality Christmas goodies available now in store and online.
Destiny Brill will continue to direct traffic from the hooker position and last week’s try scorer Tavarna Papali’i secures her spot this weekend at second row.
Available now at SOS Togafuafua and Salelologa, or Online at Samoa Markets.
The teenage sensation Shalom Sauaso will continue to play her role off the bench. The 18 year old finished last week’s match with 200 running meters and a try of her own.
Much like Toa Samoa, Fetu Samoa must come away with a win this weekend if they have any chance of playing in the Pacific Championship final in two weeks time.
