Las Vegas firefighters respond to a fire near Downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas fire crews responded to an outside fire in the central valley Thursday morning.
According to officials, at 7:17 a.m., Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to the call. Crews arrived to locate the fire, which began near the train tracks and had traveled to a commercial building nearby.
First responders worked to put out the fire, which caused delays on the tracks. Trains were cleared to pass around 9:08 a.m., LVFR said.
The building was equipped with sprinklers, but due to the way the fire traveled, they were not triggered, according to officials.
LVFR says Southwest Gas and the Clark County Fire Department were also on scene assisting.
Around 7:43 a.m., crews confirmed the fire was contained. No injuries were reported.
Officials are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
