MK Dons vs Bromley Preview

Paul Warne’s MK Dons will look to extend their winning run to five as they travel to Bromley tomorrow.

MK Dons have only ever travelled to the Hayes Lane once in their history, drawing 1-1 in Scott Lindsey’s first game in charge in September 2024.

Joe Tomlinson and Michael Cheek scored for MK Dons and Bromley respectively in that game.

The only other player to score for Bromley against MK Dons is winger Ben Thompson, who scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Ravens at Stadium MK.

MK Dons find themselves third in the table at this early stage, with a busy winter period coming.

Bromley find themselves fairly comfortable, sitting in 13th despite not winning a single league game in their last seven in League Two.

MK Dons Team News:

The MK Dons squad is looking as strong as it may ever be this season as some key players return from injuries.

Former Bolton Wanderers men Aaron Collins and Gethin Jones have returned to training, but the trip to Kent may come too soon for the star men.

Joe Tomlinson and Jack Sanders have had another good week in training this week and should be able to play more minutes than they did against Crewe Alexandra last weekend.

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, Laurence Maguire, Scott Hogan and Kane Wilson remain out for Paul Warne.

Captain Alex Gilbey is one yellow card away from five, which would lead to a one game suspension.

Predicted MK Dons XI:

GK: Craig MacGillivray

RWB: Aaron Nemane

CB: Luke Offord

CB: Marvin Ekpiteta

CB: Jack Sanders

LWB: Jon Mellish

CM: Liam Kelly

CM: Will Collar

CM: Alex Gilbey

ST: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

ST: Callum Paterson

Possible starters: Nathan Thompson (CB), Dan Crowley (CM), Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (ST)

Key Battle – Michael Cheek vs Jack Sanders

It’s no secret that 2024/2025 League Two player of the season is the biggest threat that Bromley pose in attacking areas, as well as their good set pieces.

Jack Sanders, among his other central defenders, will have to be at his best to stop the veteran talisman.

Score Prediction:

Bromley 1-2 MK Dons

I think MK Dons will continue their winning run, but I can’t see a game that Michael Cheek doesn’t score in.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing will also have to improve his performance in order to stamp his authority in what is going to be a physical game in Hayes Lane.
