Canadians’ Laine out 3-4 months following core muscle surgery

Montreal Canadiens winger Patrik Laine will be sidelined for the next three to four months after undergoing surgery to repair a core muscle injury, the team announced on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who’s been out since Oct. 16, has one assist over five games this season.
Laine scored 20 goals and 13 assists over 52 games with the Habs in 2024-25, his first season with the organization.
The 6-3 Canadiens are in Vancouver to take on the Canucks (4-4) on Saturday night.
