Key Stories to Watch
- The Avalanche are winless in their last two games, both of which ended after regulation.
- Boston started the season 3-0-0 but has since lost six straight games in regulation. One of those came against the Avs a week ago at Ball Arena.
- Colorado’s power play finally got one in late in the third period on Thursday. With Valeri Nichushkin on the top unit, the talented PP looks to turn things around after a brutal start to the season.
- Neither team will have a morning skate given the early start, but there’s a chance we’ll see Trent Miner between the pipes after his perfect relief appearance for Scott Wedgewood. We won’t get any confirmation of this until closer to puck drop.
