Iowa Hawkeyes to play Iowa State, UNI in football non-conference games

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The University of Iowa Hawkeyes will have a chance to play Iowa State and Northern Iowa in future football games.
On Thursday the University released some of their confirmed future non-conference football games which include the Cyclones and the Panthers.
Next fall the Hawks will play both teams, as well as Northern Illinois. The match up against the Huskies will be first on September 5th, followed by ISU on the 12th, and UNI on the 19th. All three of those games will be played in Kinnick Stadium. The last time the Panthers and Hawkeyes played each other was in 2018.
The Cy-Hawk rivalry will continue again in 2027, with a game slated on September 11th at Jack Trice Stadium.
The next time the Hawkeyes and Panthers square off for certain will be on September 1st of 2029.
