Is there a new ‘Saturday Night Live’ episode tonight (10/25/25)?

LIVE FROM NEW YORK — After three-straight new episodes, “Saturday Night Live” is taking its first break of the season.
There will not be a new episode Saturday, Oct. 25, but the late-night sketch comedy series will return Saturday, Nov. 1, with host Miles Teller and musical guest Brandi Carlile.
Teller, who is known for films including “Divergent,” “Whiplash,” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” previously hosted “SNL” in October 2022. He is currently promoting his upcoming film “Eternity,” which hits theaters on Nov. 14.
Carlile’s eighth studio album, “Returning to Myself,” released on Oct. 24. The Grammy winner has been the “SNL” musical guest three times before: in October 2021, in December 2022, and with Elton John in April 2025.
Standup comedian Nikki Glaser, meanwhile, will make her “SNL” hosting debut on Nov. 8. Twenty-year-old musical guest Sombr will be making his “SNL” debut alongside her.
The Nov. 15 episode of “SNL” will be another night of debuts for actor and first-time host Glen Powell and first-time musical guest Olivia Dean.
The show kicked off its 51st season on Oct. 4 with musician Bad Bunny as host and musical guest Doja Cat performing.
On Oct. 11, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler hosted alongside musical guest Role Model. Poehler anchored “Weekend Update” during her tenure and has hosted twice before — once in 2010 and again in 2015 alongside Tina Fey, who made a surprise appearance during Saturday’s cold open. Musician Charli XCX also made an appearance during Role Model’s performance.
Popular singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter took on double duty as both host and musical guest on Oct. 18. This was Carpenter’s hosting debut, but she previously performed on the show in 2024 and alongside Paul Simon at the SNL50 anniversary special in February 2025.
“SNL” fans will be excited to know that former Staten Islander Colin Jost, the longest-serving “Weekend Update” anchor in the show’s history, is still behind the desk. Joining him for Season 51 is his longtime “Weekend Update” co-anchor, Michael Che, along with familiar faces Kenan Thompson, Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang and Mikey Day.
Featured players Andrew Dismukes, Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline have also returned. “SNL” also welcomed five new featured players for Season 51: Ben Marshall, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska.
Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim have all departed, along with several writers, including Celeste Yim and Rosebud Baker.
