Weather Impacts Latest: Wind, rain knocks out power in Portland, Salem

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Saturday is a First Alert Weather Day as the FOX 12 weather crew predicts heavy wind, rain, and possible thunderstorms across northwest Oregon through the day.

5:30 p.m.

A power outage in the Astoria area is impacting about 600 Pacific Power customers.

Meanwhile, the lights are back on for most Portland-area customers, and just over 6,700 are without power south of Salem.

About 13,500 PGE customers are still without power in the Portland area.

3:30 p.m.

Pacific Power customers without power in the Portland area is down to 388. Between Salem and Eugene, the number has dropped to about 9,700.

PGE outages are down to just under 21,000 without power.

2:30 p.m.

More than 1,000 Pacific Power customers are without power in the Portland area, and more than 10,000 are without power between Salem and Eugene. Additionally, about 120 customers are without power near Lincoln City.

Portland General Electric is tracking about 196 outages, impacting about 24,000 customers.
