Insiders have revealed that James Martin’s romance with his “glamourous” PT girlfriend Kim Johnson could be progressing in a way that will be “very hard” on his ex Louise Davies

TV chef James Martin has always said that marriage “doesn’t interest me in the slightest”, even though he was in a relationship with Louise Davies for over a decade. But insiders now say he may soon change his tune – for a woman 14 years his junior.
After splitting from Louise after 12 years together, James, 53, started dating personal trainer Kim Johnson, 39. A source said: “It wouldn’t surprise anyone if James finally breaks his no-marriage rule with Kim.
“He’s a changed man now he’s met her. He used to be fiercely private about his love life. It will be very hard for Louise – who was with him for 12 years – when Kim gets a huge diamond ring on her finger.”

They added that Louise accepted his no marriage rule. However, the way things are going with Kim, that rule may go out of the window. The source told The Sun: “There’s been a big shift in his world and things feel different now.”
Kim, who is also the ex-wife of Elizabeth Hurley’s millionaire former husband Arun Nayar, is said to be inspiring major changes in James’ life.
Arun and Kim were married in 2016 on the French Riviera and it was the businessman’s third marriage, after Elizabeth and Valentina Pedroni. While Kim is 14 years younger than her current partner, she is 20 years younger than her ex-husband.
The personal trainer has been seen with the TV chef at major events, such as the National Television Awards and has moved into his home, despite the pair only dating a year.

James started dating Kim in 2024, the same year his 12 year relationship with Louise came to an end. James and Louise first met whilst he was filming Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, for which she was on the production team.
When the two split last year, the reason for their break-up was not shared, and they were said to still be “firm friends”. However, some wondered if James’ no marriage rule had played a part.
Years ago, in an interview with Sunday People, James made his feelings on marriage clear and said it wasn’t something he felt the need to do: “No, it doesn’t interest me in the slightest.
“Mainly because I’ve catered for so many weddings, really. I admire people who do it, that’s fine, but I’m quite happy. I don’t need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I’m more than happy thanks.”
