Real Madrid vs Barcelona live updates: El Clasico team news, predictions and more

Not a fantastic week for Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, who sacked Ange Postecoglou as manager after only 39 days, and saw another of his sides, Olympiacos, thrashed by Barcelona.

The Spanish giants took them apart 6-1 in the Champions League league phase, with a hat-trick from Fermin Lopez, a double from Marcus Rashford and a Lamine Yamal strike. Ayoub El Kaabi’s penalty was hardly a consolation.

The result left Barcelona ninth in the standings, three points behind Real Madrid, who have a perfect record of nine points from nine so far.

Barcelona’s sole loss in Europe this term came against Paris Saint-Germain on October 1, a 2-1 reverse at Montjuic.
