From the pitch. Muharemovic still sidelined. Doubts remain in attack for the Roman side.

SASSUOLO
A false nine (Dybala?) or a classic center forward, to choose between Ferguson and Dovbyk? It’s one of the many options Roma’s coaching staff is evaluating ahead of today’s match. Angelino is out—Tsimikas is his replacement on the left—and everyone else is available for a starting eleven that centers around Cristante and Kone in midfield and a three-man defense featuring Celik, Mancini, and N’Dicka.
From the waist up, however, Roma is still a work in progress, with former player Pellegrini expected to play as the attacking midfielder alongside Soulè, but who knows… There are fewer doubts about Fabio Grosso, who also removed Skjellerup and Satalino on the eve of the match, and who will likely largely retain the same starting eleven that drew in Lecce. With Muharemovic still sidelined, the obvious central defenders are Romanga and Idzes, with Walukiewicz and Doig completing the lineup, the only doubts lie in midfield, where the variable Thorstvedt, who returned to the starting lineup after nine months, threatens Kone and Vranckx.
Up front, however, there will be plenty of play and room for a standard attacking trio, while Volpato and Fadera, as well as Cheddira, may, if not likely, be deployed as wingers and attacking midfielders during the match. The attacking midfielder Boloca is still unavailable for the Neroverdi.
