Thomas was asked how close Randal was to starting when he spoke at his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to Everton (4.30pm).
He replied: “He’s definitely getting closer. I think now it’s the first time he had an okay sustained block of training and also some minutes. I think it’s also fair to say that he’s not there 100% physically to just be bombarding (him with) 90 minutes, go again and again and again, but he’s in a place where he can be used, and that’s good news.”
