An effort to ban fox hunting will be voted down in the Dáil later today, despite accusations from a number of opposition TDs that the three largest parties are “defending the indefensible”.

Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Sinn Féin are among those who will oppose the bill to ban fox hunting when it comes to a vote this evening.
