Barça protested fiercely after Huijsen appeared to elbow Cubarsí just before Bellingham’s controversial goal

Real Madrid took the lead and went up 2–1 thanks to a controversial goal from Jude Bellingham in the 43rd minute, heavily protested by FC Barcelona’s players.
The Blaugrana furiously appealed for a foul after Huijsen appeared to elbow Cubarsí just a second before the Englishman scored.
Militao’s cross into the box sailed over both central defenders, but the Madrid player managed to shake off his marker with a blow from his elbow to Cubarsí’s mouth, leaving the Barça defender lying on the pitch.
Referee Soto Grado did not deem the contact by the Madrid defender serious enough to warrant a foul and therefore allowed Bellingham’s goal to stand — a decision confirmed by Iglesias Villanueva from the VAR room.
