Erin Andrews constructed her reputation and fortune on the sidelines of America’s most prominent venues after transforming years of live broadcasting, personal strength, and bold career pivots into a profession worth approximately $30 million.
However, her journey extends well beyond the commentary box, molded by hard-fought achievements spanning athletics, show business, commerce, and perseverance.
Andrews – who recently received a message from Brittany Mahomes – stands among the most recognizable field reporters in sports broadcasting. She initially gained nationwide attention at ESPN, where she established herself as a mainstay on College GameDay, Saturday Night Football, and BCS National Championship coverage. It comes as Andrews opened up on her decision to not return to MLB for FOX.
During an era when female journalists were still battling for equal representation in sports media, Andrews emerged as one of its most dependable personalities. In 2012, she departed ESPN following a contractual disagreement and signed with FOX Sports, where she assumed the role of the network’s primary NFL sideline correspondent and Fox College Football host.
Her inaugural Super Bowl duty arrived in 2014, establishing the foundation for a career phase that would ultimately include coverage of Super Bowls LI and LIV while becoming intertwined with the network’s broadcasting brand. She ventured into entertainment, co-presenting Dancing with the Stars and, more recently, “99 to Beat,” the game show on FOX.

Andrews’ individual fortitude faced examination beneath the spotlight. In 2016, a routine annual check-up revealed that Andrews was battling cervical cancer.

She quickly underwent two surgeries to remove the cancerous cells, with the second operation proving successful and allowing her to avoid chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Just days after her surgery, she was back on the job, reporting from the sidelines for Fox’s NFL coverage.
This decision became a pivotal moment in her life. “There was no way in hell I was going to miss my games, because that’s where I felt the most normal,” she declared.
Her candidness about her diagnosis and recovery journey made her a champion for women’s health and early detection. Subsequently, she partnered with companies like Aflac for its “Check for Cancer” campaign and became a spokesperson for Hologic, a leading organization in women’s health, using her platform to promote regular screenings.
Andrews started dating former NHL player Jarret Stoll in 2012. They got engaged in December 2016, the same year she conquered cancer, and tied the knot the following summer. They embarked on an emotional fertility journey that eventually led to the birth of their son, Mack, via surrogate in 2024.
Despite everything, her work remained consistent after she launched WEAR by Erin Andrews in 2018. The women’s sports apparel line, in collaboration with Fanatics, quickly expanded into the NFL, NBA, NHL, and college markets and was prominently featured during a Chiefs event.
