Former Bengals draft pick signs with AFC North rival

Former Cincinnati Bengals players have made plenty of interesting headlines this year.

Carl Lawson, as it turns out, is the latest.

Lawson, a fourth-round pick by the Bengals in 2017, just landed with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North, adding some depth to one of the more dangerous teams in a struggling overall AFC.

There was a time not all that long ago when fan debates around the team wondered if the Bengals should have re-signed Lawson to a big contract after his rookie deal was up.

Instead, Lawson went to the New York Jets for a few seasons, then spotlighted with the Dallas Cowboys briefly last year. Now, he’s back in the AFC North.

The Bengals, meanwhile, spent their big pass-rusher money on Trey Hendrickson and, not to get too cliché, but the rest is history.

Hendrickson and the Bengals still play Lawson’s Ravens twice this season in Weeks 13 and 15.
