Fearnley will look to continue his efficiency on break points against an erratic and inconsistent Rublev.
Playing styles and prediction
Rublev has had a resurgent second half of the season but will be disappointed with recent results as his Nitto ATP Finals charge has died down. Now, Rublev looks to end the season with some momentum heading into an important year in 2026 as he looks to regain his place amongst tennis’ elite.
Fearnley will look to be aggressive on the first serve while taking advantage of the Rublev second serve. Meanwhile, Rublev will use the forehand to dictate play and expose the weaknesses of Fearnley. This will be a good match with both players feeling confident in their game. If Fearnley has a good serving day, then there is no reason why he can’t win this match.
Prediction: Fearnley in three sets.
