Beautiful Monday before rain, cooler temps move in

Here’s your Sunday evening forecast for October 26, 2025 from Meteorologist Matt Serwe.

Try to make the most of Monday! I know that’s easier said than done when you are likely going back to work and school. However, it might be the last day the Twin Cities reaches 60° in 2025.

The rest of the week will feature temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. Standard weather for the end of October in Minnesota. Now, let’s focus on when we see rain this week.

Light rain develops in western Minnesota Monday afternoon. This stays west of St. Cloud. It will gradually work east in the evening, then become more widespread overnight. That batch of rain falls apart about mid morning Tuesday, then more widespread rain develops in the afternoon.

The trend with this rain has been slowly moving west. That could mean more scattered showers than a constant light rain in the Twin Cities. Regardless, the metro will see some rain on and off on Tuesday, at the very least.

A couple of showers could linger early Wednesday, and couple more could pop up Thursday afternoon. Overall, there is a chance for rain each day this week, but it will be spotty light rain through the end of the week.

That means, yes, there might be a couple of sprinkles during trick-or-treat time in Minnesota. This should not be enough to keep you or the kids inside (whether you like it or not). Temperatures in the mid to upper 40s Friday evening are standard for Halloween.
