First Warn Forecast: Gloomy weekend ahead with a First Warn for Saturday rain

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – It’s a damp and cool day out there as rain chances continue through the afternoon.
Ample cloud cover will only allow us to warm to the upper 50s today. Long sleeves or a light jacket are essential to staying comfortable out there!
Cool temperatures aside, we are also watching elevated rain chances again today. A FIRST WARN is in place until 11 p.m. as showers pull in from the south to dampen our afternoon and evening plans. Rain chances will peak at 70% in the afternoon, so if you are trying to get out and about then make sure that you have your rain gear on hand.

Rain chances dwindle through the overnight, though Sunday may still bring some sprinkles our way.
SUNDAY: Rain chances continue into Sunday at 40%. The greatest chance to find rain will be in the afternoon, though rain will be more difficult to come by.
If you want to get outside with the lowest chance for showers in your area, Sunday will be the day to do it! Temperatures will still be in the 50s all around the clock.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY: Rain and storm potential grow into the new work week.
A FIRST WARN will be in place as a weather-maker pushes through Monday evening into Tuesday morning. We’ve had our eyes on this for several days now, and model data is giving an even clearer picture of what we can expect.
Next week First Warns(KCTV5)
Due to the timing of this rainfall potential, we are watching Monday evening’s Chiefs game. You’ll want to have rain gear if you’re headed out to Arrowhead or watch parties, and just keep it with you as you get your Tuesday morning started.
REST OF NEXT WEEK: We finally wrap up rain chances and bring back sunshine on Wednesday. Temperatures will stay cool though, with lows in the 30s to 40s and highs in the 50s all the way through Halloween.
