Commanders WRs Terry McLaurin (quad), Deebo Samuel (heel) to play vs. Chiefs

Commanders wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Deebo Samuel (heel) are set to play in Monday night’s road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Dan Quinn announced Saturday.

“They both run all of the routes in the system but just being in there and how they can make plays, it’s definitely a big deal,” Quinn said of McLaurin and Samuel’s returns. “That also affects other parts of the offense and running game and other things to go with it. So, matchups, yeah, I’m excited to get these guys back into the mix and they are too because missing and not being in it, it’s hard. And so, they’re excited.”

The WR duo hasn’t played together since Week 3, the first game in which Mariota started in place of the Commanders’ star quarterback as he dealt with a knee injury earlier this season. Daniels was ruled out for Week 8 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in last Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, while neither McLaurin nor Samuel will carry a designation into their upcoming game.
