The Memphis Grizzlies (2-1) face the Golden State Warriors (2-1) Monday. Tip-off from Chase Center in San Francisco, California, is set for 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Grizzlies vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2024-25 season series: Warriors won 3-1; won 121-116 in Play-In Game
The Grizz whipped up on the Indiana Pacers 128-103 Saturday as 2-point favorites. This was on the back end of a back-to-back. Reserve G Cedric Coward had the hot hand, drilling all 6 three-pointers, and finished with 27 points. G Ja Morant had 19 points and 8 dimes, and F Jaren Jackson Jr. had 17 points.
The Dubs laid an egg in a 139-119 loss at the Portland Trail Blazers Friday. They were 2.5-point favorites on the tail end of a back-to-back. G Stephen Curry delivered 35 points on 7-for-14 shooting from downtown. He just didn’t get the defensive help as Portland took over in the second quarter with 41 points.

Grizzlies at Warriors picks and predictions
Prediction
Warriors 117, Grizzlies 113
The Warriors are massive favorites, and I’m not entirely sure it’s warranted – at least at that number. Instead, give me JAREN JACKSON JR. UNDER 5.5 REBOUNDS (-150). He has 5 rebounds combined the last 2 games, and this is going to be a long-range shooting kind of game. I expect him to continue being out on the wing and not underneath.
Give me GRIZZLIES +8.5 (-110). This is a revenge spot for them after the Warriors sent them home in the Play-In Tournament. Also, beyond Curry, the Warriors just aren’t getting enough production to be laying 8.5 against a decent team.
The Grizzlies are 2-1 O/U to start the campaign, and the Warriors are 3-0. This number is simply too high for me, though. This total is higher than all 5 of last season’s matchups, and we’re going UNDER 239.5 (-110).
