McMINN COUNTY, Tenn. — A small helicopter crashed and caught fire Tuesday at the McMinn County Airport.
The pilot, the only person on board, is being treated by EMS at the scene for minor injuries, according to a Facebook post by McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy.
Sheriff Guy says nearby fire departments responded to put out the flames, and law enforcement is on site.
Authorities are asking drivers and residents to avoid the area while emergency crews respond.
