Spurs’ opening-night roster set
The Spurs’ opening-night roster is set.
The club on Saturday waived guards Adam Flagler and Stanley Umude, as well as forward Micah Potter, trimming their roster to the NBA maximum of 18 in advance of next week’s regular-season opener.
Flagler appeared in three preseason games, averaging 7.0 points and 3.0 assists. An alum of Warren High in San Antonio, Umude averaged 5.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in five appearances. Potter posted 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in five contests.
The cuts were not unexpected.
The Spurs’ roster now contains 13 players on full NBA contracts, two on partially guaranteed deals (Bismack Biyombo and Lindy Waters III) and a trio of two-way players (David Jones Garcia, Harrison Ingram and Riley Minix).
The team tips off the season Wednesday at Dallas.
