Cooper Flagg’s Struggles Mystify NBA Fans as Thunder Beat Mavs to Stay Undefeated

Cooper Flagg experienced the most challenging matchup of his young NBA career on Monday night.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft scored just two points in the Dallas Mavericks’ loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, one night after a 22-point output.
The unfortunate highlight of the game for Flagg was being on the wrong end of a Chet Holmgren dunk.
Flagg’s performance might have been affected by a shoulder issue. His left shoulder was heavily wrapped after a collision early in the game.
Flagg didn’t make too much of an impact anywhere in the box score. He had two rebounds and two steals to go along with his two points over 31 minutes. Dallas staged a late comeback, but Flagg didn’t chip in anything in the points column during that run.
On the other end, the Thunder moved to 4-0 behind a 23-point performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Flagg and the Mavs are back in action on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers, while OKC will try to go to 5-0 on Tuesday at home versus the Sacramento Kings.
