Brutal time for Edman’s first October mistake

It’s funny to see Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell as part of the Dodgers’ World Series rotation, because five years ago, they were part of the Tampa Bay Rays’ World Series rotation AGAINST the Dodgers.

Glasnow started Games 1 and 5 of that neutral-site World Series in Texas, and Snell started Games 2 and 6.

Back then, Glasnow and Snell combined to make $12.05 million. Now, they combine to make $63.7 million — five times more in five years’ time. That’s symbolic of the big leagues today: the Rays have players when they’re young and cheap, and if those players excel, they’ll find their way to the Dodgers for the really big bucks.
