Deni Avdija scores 20 points in season opener

by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Thu, Oct 23rd 10:16am EDT

Deni Avdija put up 20 points (6-of-16 FG, 0-of-6 3Pt, 8-of-10 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, and one block across 33 minutes during Portland’s 118-114 loss to the Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Avdija began the game strongly with seven first-quarter points but was less impactful later, potentially coinciding with minutes shared alongside Jerami Grant, who had a productive game off the bench. Despite Grant starting last season when healthy, the current projection has Avdija and Toumani Camara holding down starting forward spots. Avdija’s scoring ability and solid rebounding numbers support his case for remaining in the first unit.
