Unseen moments as TV’s biggest stars front up to The Golden Bachelor’s charity gala

Retired A Current Affair reporter Brady Halls’ appearance on the night was made even more special by his connection to Bear’s story.

Back in 2012, Brady and the A Current Affair team first met Bear and his late wife Audrey after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and given nine months to live.

With Sydney’s property market proving impossible, time wasn’t on Audrey’s side and the A Current Affair team stepped in to take on one of the biggest renovation rescues.

Within 10 days Bear, Audrey and their boys had a new home and the property was decked out.

Bear still lives in the property today.
