Magic: The Gathering’s PlayStation Secret Lair Release Time, Cards, And Prices

Magic: The Gathering announced a very special PlayStation Secret Lair in September. Almost exactly one month later, it’s time to decide which of the seven sets you’re going to buy as the Superdrop takes place later today, and all of the cards that will be a part of the Secret Lair will be available to buy.

The seven Secret Lairs have been inspired by five of PlayStation’s modern-day flagship series – Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, and The Last of Us and God of War which are big enough to warrant two sets each. That’s because both The Last of Us games and both of the modern era God of War games will be getting Secret Lairs of their own.

Every Card In The Magic: The Gathering x PlayStation Secret Lair

There are five cards in each set, with the exception of the Norse saga God of War drop which technically has four due to the Mimir’s Ancient Wisdom card being double-sided. Despite that, it will cost the same as all of the other drops available in the PlayStation Secret Lairs. Each non-foil drop will cost $39.99, and if you want the shinier, foil versions of the cards, you can buy the foil drops for $49.99 each.

This isn’t going to be a staggered release. All seven Secret Lair sets are a part of one big superdrop that will be available exclusively at MagicSecretLair.com starting from midday EST on October 27, 2025. If you do miss out, or you don’t fancy dropping enough money to grab all seven in one go, no matter how much you might want to, the non-foil versions of PlayStation’s cards will be available to buy at WPN stores at a later date.

If you do plan on buying all seven today, then you’re going to get a bonus card thrown in that’s pulled from an eighth PlayStation property which isn’t featured in any of the seven sets – Twisted Metal. If you spend $199 or more, your order will include the rainbow foil Sol Ring Sweet Tooth card. A card that will, presumably, not be available elsewhere.

Some of PlayStation’s most iconic characters are showcased in ways they have never been showcased before thanks to their MTG artwork. The Last of Us Part 2’s Rat King has never looked so grotesque, and Horizon’s Thunderjaw has never looked quite so majestic. There will also be an Atsu card featuring the protagonist from Ghost of Yotei, which will likely be a bonus card that comes with the Ghost of Tsushima Secret Lair.
