Frustrated fans miss out on tickets to Fred Again’s Dublin pop-up show

Fred Again has confirmed that the final stop on his ten-week European pop-up tour will take place in Dublin, but many fans were left disappointed this morning after struggling to secure tickets.
Posters of the British producer began appearing across the city earlier this week, sparking speculation of a surprise show.
The rumours were confirmed when Fred announced he would perform at RDS Simmonscourt on Saturday, November 1, joined by Irish DJs Caolan Ryan and EMA, as well as Fontaines D.C. members Carlos O’Connell, Tom Coll, and Conor Curley, who perform together as FDC DJs.

Fred, whose real name is Fred Gibson, has been hosting pop-up events across Europe in recent weeks, including shows in Madrid and Glasgow, as part of his 10-city, 10-week tour promoting his latest project, USB002.
Taking to Instagram, where he has over 3.6 million followers, the DJ confirmed that Dublin would be the last stop on the run, writing: ‘Our last show in Europe was always gonna be Dublin.’
He also teased what’s to come, adding: ‘Doors at 4.30, it’s gonna be an all dayerrrr.’
Tickets went on sale at 10am on October 28 and were snapped up almost instantly, leaving many fans frustrated and disappointed after failing to secure entry.
‘@fredagainagain1 3,452nd in the queue for your Dublin show and still couldn’t get tickets, please please please tell me this is some kinda sick joke and it was all a mistake or you’ll do another date PLEASE FRED,’ one fan shared on X.
‘2993 in the queue and still couldn’t get a Fred Again ticket. The depression,’ another penned.

One eagle-eyed fan noted a price disparity once tickets officially went on sale, with Fred Again’s email the evening prior noting that tickets were priced at ‘€79.40 inclusive of all fees plus service charge.’
However, when fans logged onto Ticketmaster, they were met with a message that read: ‘Tickets have been priced by the event organiser at €86.95 (including fees).’
The confusion prompted one fan, Ewan Hutchinson, to take to X, branding the move as ‘false advertising.’
Extra.ie has reached out to Ticketmaster for comment regarding the price change.
