Jaxson Dart nominated for Pepsi Rookie of the Week

Dart has made some history to start his NFL career.

Following his performance in Week 8, Dart became the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era with eight or more pass touchdowns, four or more rush touchdowns, and less than five turnovers in his first five career starts.

“We’re always talking about ball security. He does a good job of ball security, makes good loose plays and throws on time,” Daboll added about Dart. “Again, there’s always little things that we can get better at. There was from this game. But he’s improved every week that he’s played.”

Fans can vote for Dart at nfl.com/rookies and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 11 a.m. ET to determine who will bring home the Rookie of the Week championship belt for Week 8. The winner will be announced Thursday on NFL.com.

After the regular season, six players will be nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Year honors.
