How to watch Capitals’ Alex Ovechkin go for goal No. 900 today for free

The Washington Capitals take on the Dallas Stars on a busy day in the National Hockey League, with the sport’s greatest scorer looking to reach another milestone.

Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin comes into Tuesday night’s matchup with 899 goals, just one away from reaching the unfathomable number of 900 goals in an NHL career.

Ovechkin’s career has already put him on a path to the Hall of Fame. He caught Wayne Gretzky’s previous all-time record of 894 goals last season, making him the greatest goal scorer in NHL history. Now, Ovi is trying to see how far he can set the bard.

There is some speculation that this might be Ovechkin’s last year in the NHL, as the 40-year-old does not have much left to accomplish (outside of maybe chasing 1,000 goals).

Through nine games this season, the GR8 has two goals and five assists for seven points. He missed out on his first chance to reach 900 on home ice last Saturday, which was Ovechkin’s 1,500th career game.

The Capitals and Stars’ matchup is one of 16 games across the league on Tuesday night, meaning every team will be in action.
