The Blue Jays acquired Ty France from the Twins at the trade deadline, and he’s been mostly a bench bat in the second half. He pinch hit 15 times, going 3-for-14 with a walk, a double and a home run.
In limited at-bats, France has good numbers against a number of Dodgers relievers. He’s 2-for-3 against Anthony Banda, 1-for-2 against Blake Treinen, and 1-for-1 against Emmet Sheehan, Will Klein and Jack Dreyer (he doubled against Klein and Dreyer). He’s primarily a first baseman but can play second base in a pinch, and he made the All-Star team in 2022 with the Mariners.
