Canucks forward Conor Garland exits vs. Rangers

The Vancouver Canucks will have to wait for word on the status of one of their forwards.
Conor Garland was ruled out for the remainder of Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers early in the third period.
After playing the first two periods, the gritty forward didn’t come out for the third. Coach Adam Foote had no further update on Garland after the game, saying the forward still was being evaluated.
It’s unclear when he was hurt, but he was on the receiving end of a big hit from Rangers forward Sam Carrick in the first period.
Garland had two shots on goal in 15:30 of ice time before being forced to exit.
The 29-year-old forward has three goals and eight assists in 11 games for the Canucks this season.
The Canucks lost 2-0 to the Rangers in J.T. Miller’s first game back in Vancouver.
