North Island wind warning issued for Tuesday

Environment Canada says North Vancouver Island should expect very strong, gusty winds starting around noon on Tuesday.
The weather agency has issued a wind warning for the North Island, the Central Coast and Haida Gwaii.
Winds of 90 kilometres per hour are expected, gusting up to 110.
The winds are due to a vigorous frontal system that will generate strong southeasterly winds.
“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur,” Environment Canada says. “Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.”
