A sentencing hearing is due to take place today for disgraced former hurler DJ Carey, who conned people into sending him money by pretending he had cancer.
The former Kilkenny player defrauded victims, including billionaire businessman Denis O’Brien, after falsely claiming he was unwell and needed finances to pay for his supposed treatment.
