Wednesday’s EFL Cup predictions
Arsenal have won 11 of their 13 games this season, dropping points against only Manchester City and Liverpool, while they have won all three Champions League games by an aggregate score of 8-0 and have conceded just once in their last seven matches.
However, at the prices they are worth taking on when they host Brighton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
The Gunners have been ultra-impressive this season but with Mikel Arteta’s side having the opportunity to win their first Premier League title since 2004, this competition may have fallen down their list of priorities.

Expect squad rotation from the hosts, who have a number of injury concerns. William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli will miss out after they had to be taken off in their recent win over Crystal Palace, and Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz were already absent.
Brighton should not be underestimated and they have a very good record at the Emirates.
The Seagulls have lost only one of their last five away games against Arsenal, winning three of those, and have produced some big shocks already this term.
Fabian Hurzeler’s men have beaten Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle and have scored 12 goals in their first two EFL Cup games against Oxford and Barnsley.
The visitors will have to bounce back from a poor showing against Manchester United last time out, but there is enough juice in their price to justify backing them to at least avoid defeat.

Wolves remain moored to the bottom of the Premier League after taking two points from their first nine games and things look unlikely to improve when they host Chelsea.
The Old Gold have lost seven of their 11 games in all competitions and are likely to be outclassed by Enzo Maresca’s side, who could do with a boost after a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland at the weekend.
The Blues will change their side substantially but their squad depth should be sufficient to see off a Wolves team who have shown nothing to indicate that they are on the brink of turning things around.
Nine of Chelsea’s last ten games have gone over 2.5 goals and a repeat of that is fancied in an away win.
