Cadbury is axing a fan-favourite range after just two years on the market.
Bosses said the “difficult decision” had to be made to withdraw the Dairy Milk Fruitier and Nutter Trial Mix, with The Grocer reporting the range only amounted to 0.05 per cent of Cadbury’s overall £2.4 billion value sales over the 2024 period.
The collection first launched in 2023, before it was expanded in 2024.
However, in a sad turn of events, bosses have confirmed they are being discontinued in a new statement.
A spokesperson for Cadbury owner, Mondelez International, said: “In 2023, we launched Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruitier & Nuttier Trail Mix, before expanding the range in 2024 to include Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruitier & Nuttier Bars.

“We worked incredibly hard to ensure these better-for-you products retained the indulgence and great taste that consumers expect from Cadbury.”
The Mondelez representative confessed at first the response from customers over the range was positive, but added that sale and availability have reduced over the last few years.
As availability has decreased, shoppers have noticed them becoming seemingly harder to find in the supermarket.
While this change will come as a blow to some, Cadbury said it remains “fully committed to delivering in the wellbeing space by bringing forward an increased range of better-for-you products.”
The Mondelez spokesperson added these products will come “alongside investment in reformulation, portion control, and education.

“This includes promoting and investing in Cadbury Delights, our delicious range of chocolate containing fewer than 100 calories per bar.”
While Cadbury may be discontinuing the range, one Christmas item has been spotted back on supermarket shelves.
Cadbury Mini Snow Balls Chocolate Cookies have already been snapped up by numerous shoppers across the country.
They feature a milk chocolate cookie base, stuffed with snowball pieces. At the moment they are on sale for around £2 a pack, or £1.65 with a Tesco Clubcard.
